Shipping & Returns
How much is shipping? We offer flat-rate shipping and handling of $18 Australia-wide. Delivery is free for all orders over $190.*
*Free delivery applies to Australian orders over $190 in total value and under 5kg in weight. For any shipping-related enquiries, please contact us.
When can I expect to receive my order?
​Once your order is received, your items will be promptly packaged and shipped. You can expect your order to arrive within 7-10 days once dispatched, depending on your location. Tracking information will be provided.
How do I arrange collection if I selected 'Local pick-up'? This option is available for shoppers in the Mackay, 4740 region. Once your order is received, I'll email you to arrange a suitable date and time for collection from my studio in Erakala. If you're struggling to collect, I'll arrange shipping to you, at your expense, of our flat rate shipping and handling fee.
I've changed my mind on my purchase, what now? Unfortunately, there's currently not an option to return your order. If you have any questions regarding the piece that you're wanting to purchase, please shoot us an email.
Do you use sustainable packaging? Our products are packaged in 99% recycled or repurposed packaging that has been donated by other local businesses. The materials we reuse would otherwise go straight into landfill.
Product Queries
Can I put my mug in the dishwasher? All pieces are fully functional; food, microwave and dishwasher safe. Although, we recommend handwashing our products to extend the lifespan.

How often do you restock your website? The website is restocked as soon as the kiln is unloaded BUT if you see something you like, please send us an email to discuss a custom order.
Will my ceramics look exactly like the picture? All products are handmade - with that there will be slight variations in size, shape and glaze finishes. We ask that you embrace the characteristics of each piece.

Custom Orders​

What is the wait time for custom orders? This fluctuates depending on our workload; please allow 4-6 weeks for your custom piece to be carefully handmade. Make sure to account for shipping time - see our Shipping Information below.

Can I order bulk for corporate gifts? Yes! We'd love to help. Please send us an email to discuss. The lead time for bulk orders is approximately 6 weeks.

Do I need to have worked with clay before? No! Our workshops are suitable for all ages and abilities. We're there to guide you and to help where required.

What if I need extra help during the workshop? We value the fact that you've chosen to spend your time with us. We intentionally keep workshop sizes small and personal so you receive the time and attention you may require.

How long until I receive my piece? Depending on what workshop you participated in, you'll be emailed to arrange collection of your pottery between 2-4 weeks.

Is my pottery piece guaranteed to make it through the firing process? We take great care to ensure your hard work is not in vain but, due to the nature of pottery and working with clay, we can't guarantee that your piece will make it through the process in one piece.

Can I bring food and drinks to the workshop? Of course! You're welcome to bring any platters and beverages with you. There are a few rules around consumption of food and drink when working with clay but we'll brief you on that at the beginning of your workshop. We'll have complementary tea and coffee available as well.

What if I fail to show up to my workshop I have booked? At Sunset Ceramics, we value your time and the fact that you're spending your hard-earned dollars with us. In saying that, our time is equally as important. If you fail to show to your reserved workshop time, there will be no refunds offered. At any point up until the start of your workshop, you're welcome to gift your seat to a friend or family member if you're unable to attend.

Do you host private workshops? Absolutely! If you have a group of 6 or more people, shoot us an email or DM. We can discuss availability and options. To secure a time slot, we require a deposit. The final payment needs to be made 7 days prior to the secured date/time.
